Tips of Planning Your China Trip in Golden Week Oct. Holiday

China National Day holiday, or “Golden Week” (October 1st - 7th)

is approaching!

Since the holiday kicked off on October 1, relatively good weather nationwide,
toll-free highways, admission ticket discounts, and lower gas prices
have combined to make this so-called Golden Week
the best time for traveling!

You must cannot wait to plan your trip on this long holiday.
Here is your plan...

Hold on!
Can you imagine?
When millions of minds think alike about travel,
the result is epic crowds and sometimes chaos!

In the holidays, more and more Chinese people

leave their homes and go traveling,

leading to transport difficulties, price rises, and overcrowding.

During this public holiday (8-day period for all people in China),

popular cities and scenic areas will be packed.

You can’t imagine what the feeling is like

when 1.3 billion people are traveling

at the same time and in the same country.

Train tickets to popular cities

(Beijing, Shanghai, and Zhangjiajie, for example)

are sold out very quickly.

The expression "people mountain, people sea," (renshan renhai)

describes the situation and Internet users

declared that Golden Week was a "golden mess."

Places you should
avoid going during
Octobor 1st-7th

These places are absolutely beautiful to visit for the rest of the year, but during October holiday (Oct1st-7th), they are not so appealing anymore with seas of crowds...

OUR ADVICE

To make your China Trip in October Holiday easier and more comfortable, here are some tips for reference:

1. Try to avoid the first two days and the last day of the "Golden Week”.

2. Avoid hot destinations.

3. Book flight / train tickets and hotel rooms with one - three months in advance.

4. Book trips with professional tour agency which have reserved train/air tickets and hotels space rather than travel in solo.

5. Take short day trips with bus rather than long distance trips with airplane or train

If you really want to visit these places above, try to go there in the week after Oct. Holiday during 8th - 15th Oct. each year, less touriests with cheapest deal with hotel and flight tickets!
