About Gouqi Island:

Gouqi Island is famous for its well-preserved fishing villages and cultures, the largest aquatic farm in China and the Mountain and SeaWonders (山海奇观)rock that was believed to be left by General Hou Jigao of Ming Dynasty, whodefended the south-eastern coast against the raids from wokou.

Gouqi Island incorporates nearly 400 islands known as Shengsi Archipelago, which ispurported to be the largest archipelago of China. Being part of the municipalarea of Zhoushan city, the tourism and service industry of Gouqi Island hasgenerated considerable economic values for this rural region. Due to the rapidadvances of its diversifying industries, many fishing villages of Zhoushan havebeen abandoned today. Some of the best preserved villages are located in Gouqi Island.

Trip Itinerary:

Day 1:

People meet up at 6 a.m. and depart from Shanghai at 6:10 a.m. Please kindly note that we need to catch the ferry so be punctual! We will arrive at Xiaoyangshan Dock after two hours coach ride. Take a ferry to 【Gouqi Island】 at 9:25a.m.

Enjoy the refreshing breeze and the breath-taking coastal skyline. You will have a picnic lunch prepared by yourselves. After a 4-hour journey on the sea, we'll take shuttle car to the local inn/ guest house for check in. In the afternoon,【The Mountain and Sea Wonders】will be in the schedule. Along the coastal hiking route recommended by us, you will be guided to appreciate 【The Aquatic Farm】 and the beautiful sunset.

In the evening, you will head back to the rural inn and enjoy delicious local dishes for dinner. When darkness falls, the fun social party begins with flickering bonfire, alcohols, chitchat, and cosy sea breeze. We promise you a memorable experience at this romantic starry night!

Day 2

Enjoy your free time in the morning or take a relaxing walk along the coast. A Chinese and western style breakfast will be ready for you at the inn.

Travelers will visit 【Abandoned Fishing Village】,which is a village called Houtou Bay abandoned by the residents due to the inconvenience of transportation. The deserted village is now totallyen compassed by flourishing vines. You will feel peaceful and detached in that this fairyland has remained intact.

Heading back, travelers may taste some local snacks or have a brief lunch at the café nearby. We will also lead you to 【The King Beach】, the largest beach on Gouqi Island, where you can either swim or chill for sunbath.

In the evening, the bonfire party will be offered after dinner!

Day 3

Enjoy your free time in the morning, after breakfast you can choose to take a relaxing time, or go hiking at East Cliff with around extra 100rmb/person with entrance ticket and transportation fee, or go fishing (paid by yourself). After lunch we will head to pier at 12:00 and take ferry at 13:30 back to Shenjiawan harbor. Our bus driver will take you back to the downtown Shanghai around 7:30pm

About Accommodation:

The inn is located in the most developed area of Gouqi Island. Meanwhile, it is only a 5 minutes by walk away from the King Beach-the largest and most beautiful beach of Gouqi Island. The rural inn is a satisfactory place to stay compared with other guesthouses on this island. It is furnished with LCD television, AC and private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is also available. As for meals,the enthusiastic and hospital A-yi with culinary proficiency will treat you with authentic local special dishes like extensive fresh seafood.

Outside of the hotel, there are plenty of BBQ street food and western restuarants, Cafe& bars for your food&beverage selections
